It's 29th Feb!

Woah! I'm blogging for the sake of blogging so that there'll be this post on this very special day on my records. Hurhur :P. I hereby welcome and wish all babies born today a HAPPY LEAP YEAR! Oh man, you guys will be so special, only having the opportunity to REALLY celebrate your birthdays every four years. :)

This week's totally off. It's been proven that my lappie is the greatest distraction on Earth. Anyway for the past few days, I've been keeping it away from me, by stoving it in the drawer and... it works! *Yup yup* and I'm using it now 'cause I've to complete my lab report which is due next week.

Woah, I feel a sense of achievement, being able to live without my lappie. Hence, other than for schoolwork and occasional relaxation, my lappie will be out of my sight!

Yes I can do it! =)

Science of the Earth

Well, life sucks and everything else sucks 'cause the Earth sucks.

All right, I'm trying to be lame here but there's some truth to the above statement. Sigh. When will I ever stop wallowing in self-destruction and get out of my reverie?

I so love what I'm studying man. Please don't ask me why.

Anyway, it really sucks when you ain't in the best of health, that you feel like a burden to your parents. But on the bright side, it's nice to know that they're always there for you.

And thank you dad! For telling me that life ain't all smooth-sailing, if it it, it's not life.

Juno and the Looooooonnnnnnnggggggg Walk back....

Finally! We're back in hall!!! Haha. We, being rather silly people, (ok it's my fault for insisting on watching Juno, sorry Jenny Pok! :P ), decided to catch the 11.10pm movie, Juno, as we didn't want to strain our necks watching the movie from first row seats. And guess what, the movie ended at 1am and we made our way back to hall... by foot! Yup we walked a whole 2 hours and along the way, we saw night cyclers, guess they were from NTU, but they were wearing helmets. It was kinda a hilarious sight as.. I never knew night cyclers had to wear helmets, besides they were escorted by 2 lorries, tailgating them at a super slow speed. Haha! And then we decided to grab a bar of chocolate each from a petrol kiosk nearby to spice up our journey. Total madness I must say and my legs are kind of aching now.. hurhur!

Well, back to the movie. It's really heart warming! =) and once again, it left a tinge of fuzzy feeling ahaha. Here, the best quote from the movie, I feel:

"In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with."
- Mac MacGuff

Anyway, it's getting really late and my eyes are super tired. Time to bathe and then hit the sack! Woots and there's SLP amazing race in the morning, gotta get up at 7am!! HELP!

THIS IS REALLY OUT OF THE UNIVERSE!!

Oh my frigging gosh! I had my first ever, closest encounter with my nemesis! Freak! A darn lizard! It decided to sneak an attack on my when I was clearing the dustbin. Initially I thought some stuff from the plastic bag had spilled onto my hand (it was dark, the lights weren't switched on and so I couldn't see clearly). Wondering what it was, I took a closer look AND TO MY HORROR AND DISGUST, I realised it was a LIZARD. Oh my gosh! I could literally feel its sticky pads, sucking my skin!

Yessss and so I screamed, super loudly, flicked it away immediately and am still badly shakened.

Eeks! Slimy lizards! Oh my goodness.......................................................

I'm keeping my feet on the chair till all's clear, never gonna put my feet on the ground again, at least for today.

Life, music!

Just randomising here. It dawned upon me that life is like a melody and we are composers of our own tune.

Will mine be a Fantasie Impromptu or a Symphony No. 5? Angsty, fast paced, unsatisfying. Or like Fur Elise, the one with a sweet melodious opening? Well, whatever it will be, there'll always be the highs and lows in a piece of music. Even say for Fur Elise which starts off sweet and beautiful in the beginning, lively in the transition has an angsty middle part but ends off melodiously still. Just like LIFE.

I want to write my own music. *Yea I should stop crapping if I really want to!*

Anyway, I should stop blogging cos I'm wasting a lot of time here. Ai yah, slap me man! Ahaha!

Mmmm... Yup!

Haha! Yup we are more or less bent on going for.... Ballet lessons! Ahaha! Oh no.. Please don't laugh at us. It's some kind of new found passion that we've and it's going great for now.

God, please let the interest persist till the long vacation! Amen!

And this best describes my feelings now! Wooh! :)

I cant really explain it,
i havent got the words,
its a feeling that you cant control,
i suppose its like forgetting, losing who you are,
and at the same time something makes you whole.

Its like there's a music playing in your ear,
and then im listening, and im listening and then i dissapear,
and then i feel a change,
like a fire deep inside,
something bursting me wide open,
impossible to hide,
and suddenly im flying,
flying like a bird,
like electricity,
electricity,
sparks inside of me,
and im free,
im free.

Like animals..

One of our distinguishing characteristics from animals is that we have memory while animals don't. As such, we keep tracks of events that have occurred before, sometimes, reminiscing about them and thus causing us to be emotional, be it happy or sad.

Hence, think we can live like animals, like what Savage Garden has sung in The Animal Song? Haha. Well, just don't think so much and probably, you'll be happier. "),

It's all in the mind. The powerful human brain indeed!

I can't stand to fly
I'm not that naive
I'm just out to find
The better part of me

I'm more than a bird
I'm more than a plane
I'm more than some pretty face beside a train
And it's not easy to be me

Wish that I could cry
Fall upon my knees
Find a way to lie
'Bout a home I'll never see

It might sound absurd
But don't be naive
Even heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed
But won't you conceive
Even heroes have the right to dream
And it's not easy to be me

Revelation

I'm happy today! Well, cos I bought 2 books today! Haha. It's been a long time since I last bought a book which I really wanna read (other than textbooks). And so the euphoria. And thanks Bin for accompanying me and giving me ideas on the business plan. Seriously, thanks for persuading me to stay on at the library, cos if I hadn't, I probably would not have completed it by now.. Just look at me now, I'm surfing the net instead of working on the final touches of the executive summary.. Hurhur.

Anyway, I've finally found out where I've gotten my lingo from, just read on..

While on our way to Tiong Bahru,

Dad says, "Very hungry eh I".

Bro says, "Me too eh I".

Haha.. See? From my very own dear family..

Ok, better start working on the executive summary eh I! :)

Oh and before I start my work.. I really wanna watch Juno and Sweeney Todd! (I hope Sweeney Todd will still be showing come this weekend!)

The Human Touch

"The difference between mediocrity and greatness is the feeling those guys have for each other." once said the legendary football coach Vince Lombardi.

I guess, the human touch makes all the difference.

....Baddie Girls....

Oh man, I'm blogging again. I guess it's the "post-test/exam" syndrome. Always feel like venting my frustrations after a paper. Well, had my first mid-sem test today and oh man... I, or rather, we feel like baddie girls. And it's pretty hilarious how we calculated the weightage of assignments and tests (of the final overall grade) and consoled ourselves that there's still time to catch up before the finals... This paper's 5% by the way..

Well, somehow, the 3 of us never fail to meet outside LT6 every Monday morning to complete, er hem, copy assignments. We've been doing this for the past 4 weeks and man, we feel guilty and stuff but still, we don't really care. Besides, we skip lectures and haven't completed a single tutorial. And the funny thing is, we know that we've not been good students but have yet to do something about it. Hence, we have decided to study together at the library during the mid-sem break (I really hope we do) and hopefully, we'll be goodie girls soon! =)

Haha! Ok, that's something I look forward to do during the mid-sem break! Back to the test, well, it wasn't a KILLER (unlike those we've taken so far) but it wasn't very easy.

I hope tis' a good start for better things to come!

The world is HUGE!

I'm a frigging time waster. Hey but no that's not the point of this post. The point is.. the world's huge and I wanna travel around the world! Haha my randomness' probably sparked off by Jenny Pok who just came back from Chiang Mai. She saw so much stuff, learnt so much.

And so.. we've decided to visit TAIWAN this june holidays! All right, so here's something to motivate me to study hard for the exams so that I can really enjoy the long semester break.

Oh man.. study.. yep.. study.. STUDY LAH!
